Mouilleron en Pareds is located one hour south of Nantes and is easy to reach from all seaports. We are within reach of four local airports, Nantes (1 hour), La Rochelle (1 hour) Poitiers (1.5 hours) and Tours (2 hours). If you choose to fly it is worth checking budget airlines as most fly to these airports. For those that come via Saint Malo, Caen, Le Havre or Calais the route is now largely motorway all the way down. The
village has four restaurant/bars, a bakers, a general store, a post office
and bank with a cash point.
There is an old pack mule trail sign posted from the heart of the village to take you up past the old windmills. There is map near the church and Bazoge en Pareds (ten minutes away by car) has a medieval garden and tower (Donjon) with good views around the area. You can also visit Vouvant with its reservoir, tower and battlements. As well as the local store, there are two large supermarkets a short drive away at Chantonnay and La Chataignerai. |

The village is the birthplace of two famous French leaders, Jean Joseph-Marie de Lattre Marechal de France and Prime Minister, Georges Clemenceu. The village has two museums dedicated to them. There are plenty of things to do in and around Mouilleron en Pareds - a full information pack is in a house which will hopefully help you plan any holiday excursions. Or alternatively, if you just want to relax, simply take a sunlounger next to the pool, have an occasional swim and just chill-out! |
